Guangdong Medical Simulation Education Professional Committee of Medical Education Association

In March, 2017, Guangdong Medical Simulation Education Professional Committee of Medical Education Association was established, which is the first provincial-level medical simulation education committee in China. The initiator and host unit is the Clinical Skills Center of Zhujiang Hospital of Southern Medical University. The deputy chairmen of the committee are composed of presidents or directors in Tertiary Hospitals of Guangdong Province. In 2019,the committee has recruited more than 1,000 medical talents across the country as members. Since its establishment, Medical Simulation Education Professional Committee has greatly promoted the development and application of simulation medicine in China and facilitated the collaboration and communication in the medical education industry by hosting Zhujiang International Medical Simulation Education Forum and conducting training courses on simulation medicine education.

Under the new era of coordinated development of medical education and research, The Medical Simulation Professional Committee will continue to unite all sister units by sharing practical experience in teaching and scientific research of domestic medical simulation education with industry peers, exchanging new ideas on the construction of medical simulation centers and discussing new directions for the future development of domestic medical simulation education. We will further integrate high-quality medical resources and management experience to improve the clinical skills training level and service capacity of medical institutions so as to promote the construction of medical simulation education personnel and help the simulation medicine in China flourish.
